Cryptopay now has their CryptoTap tap-to-pay system out in case you did not hear about it in Kleen-Rite's Master Class this afternoon. They say it has no additional fees than you already pay now with Cryptopay. It piggybacks (communicates wirelessly) to your already installed Cryptopay swiper and accepts Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and others. It just needs to be mounted and hook up 24VAC to it. Kleen-Rite has a limited number of them and are $325 each. Part number CPS3008. We bought one to try on our Goldline that has the Cryptopay retrofit kit.

That sounds like it will be a great addition. We are about to do the Goldline retrofit, and I would love to add one to that.

Kleen-Rite only has a limited number of the CryptoTap tap-to-pay readers. So if you want one you'd better jump on it now. According to Dave at Crytopay they have more available in the first quarter of next year. They looked pretty simple to install. They are about 4" square, you can call Cryptopay and they'll send you a template.

I tried to watch the seminars, they were all good I was just super busy. .

Maybe I'm confused... What is the big deal on the tap to pay module at $325.00 ..I just installed the cryptopay swipers and they are doing great?

Is this for basically app based ... like Apple Pay...etc..

Please inform me?

Yes. Apple Pay and others like it. It's also EMV like a chip transaction.

Vic, It's just another way of taking the public's money. Tap and go credit card, smart phone app. etc.

You can go back and watch the seminar here. The Cryptopay starts around 2:30. It looks like a good option to add to our automated bay as we are about to do the Goldline retrofit. Just another easier way for customers to pay. I don't think we would install it on everything.

We installed this the other day on our Goldline. I now notice under "recent purchases" on Cryptopay's site the card holder name is replaced with EMV-TAP. The last four of the card is still there but I like being able to search for a name on there. I wonder if keeping it anonymous is just part of the EMV verification.
