Hello
I just got new presoak for the automatic that doesn’t need mixed. I still have about 60 gallons left of the old stuff before I can switch to the blue coral. The last few days the 60 Gallons seems to have not moved. I put a new foot valve on it, a black hydrominder tip and put a hose clamp to make sure the line isn’t sucking air. I also took the tip out and put my finger over the hole to feel the suction when I manually made the hydrominder work. I could feel it sucking! Maybe I’m just too anxious about switching over to the new stuff, but it sure seems like it’s taking forever compared to normal. Eventually I’ll record the car counts and know for sure how much I use. I’m pretty sure it’s the hydrominder and I don’t know where to start as far as replacing parts. I’ve never messed with them. Any advice is greatly appreciated as always! Thanks!

How does the presoak look when it's applied to a car? If it looks fine, then be glad that you will get so much use out of the last 60 gallons. As long as it's cleaning, it's good to use. If you don't like how it cleans, then try upping the dilution to go through it quicker.

I really don’t know. Most people run clean vehicles through the wash lol.

Right.... but you could wash your own car and look at the coverage, no?

This fixed it. It was sucking before but I can definitely tell it’s drawing much more now. I think they’re called eductors but maybe there’s an “a” in it, not sure.

I've been saying it a lot lately. They've had another bad run - I'm switching to SMC.

Does SMC make a barbed foot valve or do you have to assemble a strainer and barb fitting onto a check valve?

They make one from a 1/2" barb x 1/4" barb with a strainer on the 1/4" side but Kleen-Rite doesn't sell it. I just ordered the double 1/2" barb type and the strainers.
