Anyone have any tips/tricks for cleaning the inside plastic on the MicroCoin acceptors? Once they are in use for a while the gunk from coins starts to coat the plastic walls and the coins get jammed more often. I have tried using electronic cleaner (to not damage the internals) but that didn’t seem to do much.

The gunk in my experience is usually sticky sugar and soda syrup from the bottom of cup holders and ash trays. I clean coin acceptors with a cloth or paper towel dampened with water.

Don't ever use anything like electical contact cleaner or any solvent based cleaning products. The best thing to use would be Windex or something along those lines.
