I have vacuums with MA-850 coin acceptors and they are very simplistic but the quarters won’t drop and just return to the coin slot, have tried everything and they just won’t go into the machine. Did the coin acceptor go bad?

I'm being honest here. The best you can do is take them out and replace them with another brand then deposit them into the dumpster along with the daily trash.

Hey. If that’s what It takes I’m fine with that, thing seems like a pile of shit. Any recommendations on brand you like?

Have you tried reprogramming them? Have you called Mike Oliver at IDX at 1-800-643-1109? If you replace them I’d go with the tried and true Slugbuster II or Slugbuster III. We have very few problems with the Slugbuster coin acceptors, we don’t care if the Slugbuster II will accept a Dollar coin as a quarter, the coin box decal says Tokens or US quarters only.

I’ve been replacing my IDX acceptors with slugbusters. They are fairly reliable, inexpensive, and available to purchase.

No man, i can’t find my original thread. The over load bypasses trigger immediately and shut them all down. I’m boggled. Wired the motors back new. Set the meters up to where they shouldn’t trip, and they do immediately

It took me all of three seconds to find it:

Is the replacement a Slugbuster III P83 Long Drop?

Is there a standard drop between all coin mechs? I also want to change out the old coin mechanisms on my IVS 100000 vacuums
