Just wondering if anybody has ever painted a plastic Monorail vac dome? Ours are faded and really looking bad. I was considering spray painting them but don't know if it will look worse in a couple months or not. Just wanted to know your thoughts.

When my father had a body shop, we painted interior car parts
to match or change the color of the interior. Autobody supply
shops should have the product, it was like a dye type paint
that also ate into the plastic for adhesion.

Home depot has a spray paint for plastic. Used it for the red coleman tops. Looks great last at least a year, easy to do. Downside - Light doesn't shine thru very well.

I'd go to my local panel beater & spray painter. They do it all the time with bumper bars. Maybe a bit more expensive than doing it yourself but at least you know the paint will stay on.
