For those of you that have been arouns a while, about 30 years ago almost everyone was using powders. They figured it wasn't smart to ship water around.

Yes, but the powders were and are a PITA.

Most used powders but didn't like it. At that time all liquids available were pretty much neutral shampoos except for tire soap. With the advent of touch free which required an acidic product and eventually hybrid frictions powders disappeared until Blendco came along. With all the ultra concentrates available on the market today I really doubt one saves much if any at all with powders. If fact since most powders require either surfactant boosts, dye and fragrances to be added in addition to the powder they are a little like a chemical experiment in the back room. While I like the versatility of Blendco, there is still a lot to be said for today's ultras.
