I am closing next week on another wash and looking for some ideas on pricing. This wash does need some upgrading which I am going to start as soon as we close but this is at this point the nicest wash in town but one year ago I bought the other two car washes in town and having been doing upgrades to one and closed the other for at least the time being because demographics didn't support 3 and was hoping to buy this one soon. The current time is .75 cents for 2:24 mins the automatic has been poorly maintained and priced 5,6,7 for top wash. Should I wait to raise price until about 6 months for remodel or should I just go for raise it to a 1.00 or 1.25 with same time immediately? And automatic will be upgrade soon but this thing was making good money but should make a lot more not sure about it as we'll? Any ideas info will be appreciated

If SS works well, I would definitely go up- I don't know what your market will acept, but you are at the same price per minute I was when I got into the business over twenty years ago.

Im happy to hear you were able to get this wash. I am 45 miles from you. I renovated and increased from $1 for 3 mins to $1.50 for 3 mins. SS revenue has increased and my customers are happy with the quality.

Both washes in Cushing are also priced at $1.50 for 3 mins. My touch free pricing is $9, $8, $7. 66% of customers purchase top wash.

Good luck!

I greatly Appreciate it! It's hard for me to get a actual idea where I'm at with this wash because I hear everybody grip about this or that but I'm the competitor at this point I have used this wash and know what I don't like but am I just extremely hard because it is competition. Would I be as critical of mine now? Lol but since it right on rt 66 I'm going to give it that old 66 appeal as we have numerous businesses who life blood is 66 but I know my core customer is city residents but if I can capture some traveling thru I can bring my gross up! I have about decided go for it and don't look back if I loose a few customers we'll they will either go to my other wash or travel out of town and with the new visable upgrades they won't stay gone for long! Hope my rational is right! Lol
