I would email his office, "We appreciate your business but, please do not leave a mess like this again." and attach the video. He'll either be embarrassed by his staff seeing his behavior or pissed that you outed him, either way he'll know he's on camera and you won't accept his disrespect.
It will work, the steel threads are stripped, the nylon is what's holding on. It has to be very hot to melt the nylon which could damage anything that is too close.
If they're anything like the motor shops I deal with, they're so busy they don't mind still making money on the parts and not having to actually do the repairs. I'm sure they'd rather have some of your business rather than none. Especially if they know you're still going to bring them motors...
I get quite a few in the automatic. I can easily search them from my LPR and contact the customer. Unless they paid with cash then I have no way to find or contact them. The police use my wash so I just turn them over when one of them comes through.
