I always liked the ThrustPro dryer. I think they give a very good dry for the HP it has. Its down side is that they do require some monthly maintenance, they can be damaged if they are backed into and some of todays trucks are so tall and square at the front that they could bump into the...
Hydra-Cell cell pumps are very reliable and would be my first choice if I was pumping reclaim water. However, they are more work to repair if you should need to service them. They are not hard to repair, just not as easy as a typical CAT or Arimitsu pump. If they are still running well I...
Dirt, I came across the numbers for our SoftGloss and Radius HT High Impact. The Softgloss on the top wash used 148 gallons on my my vehicle, the Radius used 158 gallons. This was a reading straight from the meter before/after. 119 gallons per car was the average after washing 397 cars in the...
I have had this happen once in 2.5 years. I would suggest that you power down the TCS2 before swapping cards even though they claim you can hot swap them. I would also contact RDM.Net and ask them if they would be able to repair them. They do have other older DRB cards listed on their site and...
We went through the same situation about a year ago. If I recall, those numbers look close to what I found also. Like you said there are so many variables involved so I averaged what the meter reading was over one week and then one month and divided by number of cars washed. This accounted for...
Need more info: is this a Radius or a US 2001 OHD? If its a Radius does it have ultrasonics on the wall or are all four sensors on the gantry? Generally if code 74 happens when the machine is idle the rear sensor (entrance side of machine) is not reading the floor. Could be caused by a weak...
Hardest - Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 in bay automatic (not the US2001 OHD). Mechanical nightmare, hard to get to the simplest part.
I agree with the comment about the MacNeil 701 wraps, but they do wash great when dialed in. Wish they would make them with just a straight arm without the folding arm...
Does your machine have bay plates on the floor or use photo eyes? Does your machine have the round guide rails or the square flat mounted guides? Is your machine a "Short Bay" setup?
The tire photo eye is not counting both front and rear tires as it travels from front to rear during the foam...
If the Unitec Portal had the scanner option it probably could do barcodes not sure about QR codes, I have not seen one with a scanner. We also use the DRB XPT5+ pay stations which we do use barcodes.
This is what we do, Wash Bundles. Prints a random code on the customers receipt which they use for remaining washes. Costs nothing and easy to program. Can be a bit of a pain to track down lost receipts/codes though.
Typically when the follower randomly won't drop its related to the air flow switches not activating (lube them with WD40 so they move freely).
If you're finding that the ratchet pawls are wedged or binding in the gear it could be that the main cylinder is not holding the follower fully up to the...
The dryer needs this to happen in order to drop the follower: top fans start and both air flow switches activate, the dryer photo eye (or loop) can not be blocked (sensing). If that is good then the small cylinder pulls the ratchet pawls back and the main cylinder releases. Seconds later the...
The liability issue would keep me up at night. Tunnel controllers do not have all the safety logic that most IBA's have. Most IBA's will either stop, reset or shut down in most cases when something unexpected occurs. Tunnels don't work that way. If you have electric driven brushes you have some...
