    Walls and windows- Advice needed!

I would start with low fume muratic acid diluted 2 or 3 to one with water. Apply it to surface and let dwell for a minute or two then scrub and rinse with a soft brush. It might take a few applications to get through the heavy build up. You can get the acid at Home depot or lowes. I have found...

Why isn’t my self serve working out?

Credit cards in the bay would be the first thing I would do. I added credit cards 15 years ago and have seen my CC slowly become 80 percent of my ss income. I had tried a token vendor with a CC prior and no one ever used it. Once I put CC in the overall time and money spent increased. People...

    IBA Gallons Per Car

First thing I would do is check your meter for accuracy. Take a 55 gallon drum and fill it with water while watching your meter. I once had a brand new city water meter that read 3X the actual water usage. No way a friction should be using the amount of water you mention.

With 10 express tunnels now in my town of 70,000 the automatic business is not what it once was but the SS sales have been real strong. Having slack time in my auto bays I am thinking of offering a Spot free rinse and dry cycle in one of my automatics for the SS customers. After they finish in...

Dirty cars from Canadian wildfire smoke?

When it finally rains and helps clear the smoke business will be better. Also the smoke settling on the cars and then the rain will cause acid rain of varying amounts so it will be critical to get it off cars as soon as possible.

Quick detailer might hide the spots for a while. Try taking some white vinegar and apply to a cloth and gently rub on the spots. The acid in the vinegar should remove the spots then rinse with water.

    New income streams

I built a tire shine machine that worked well but ended up with a mess around the area it was installed and eventually drew in the ricer car crowd. They would meet at the wash to shine their tires but stay for hours not spending any other money. I think it intimidated the regular customers so I...
