You need a 24V AC transformer to power the timer and coin acceptor. You cannot use the coin acceptor without a transformer with that timer.

The Speed Queen TC5 is cheaper than high-end household front loaders, which don't live very long without needing the main bearing replaced. My Maytag is seven years old and already acting up. It's more than half the price of the TC5. IMO the Speed Queen would be a good long-term purchase.

IMO you don't NEED a foamer, but it will help the product foam and it will help keep it from spitting when it first comes on.
