    SS HP wax

I use Quest's Vantagloss Foamy (single color) for my ceramic in both IBA and self serve. I have a LED kit on my wizard so I just apply the white foam through the tri-foam applicators. It's the same product I use on the SS side, but I use a dual hydrominder eductor and add dye to it at that port...

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

Yes, pretty much why I feel gantry units that had oscillating nozzles were better cleaners than inverted L machines. My water wizard uses oscillating five degree nozzles as well as height adjustment. Still relies on the right chemistry to do the job properly though.

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

The first 30 minutes of The YT video "47 washes in two hours" has a great narration attached to it that explains Petit's perspective on the machine and is worth a listen for those considering the unit.

    Programmable Relay or PLC

Hi All, Reviving this old thread. I just ordered a floyd bell speaker and need to use a programmable relay to convert my 24VAC signal from my IBA to 24VDC output for the speaker. Eight inputs and four outputs will give me the capability of eight messages. It looks like the Idec...

    SS HP wax

Same problem here on the IBA, older machines that clean well but have limited wax options. Also my wizards have a rain bar which seems to be not the best way to apply the newest generation of waxes.

Dencar Technology Retrofit Doors (ACW Goldline)

I think Dencar reps said they average 3.2 washes per month, I don't know if that is just their washes or all Dencar customers on average. They mentioned they cap their wash usage at 15 washes per Month per customer and that number is configurable. As the economy tightens I wonder how that will...

    SS HP wax

Haven't done a cost analysis in SS myself. Even if it was a slight "loss leader" of sorts I would likely continue using it.Usage of tri-foam (my ceramic) has become very popular, and feel like it is a net positive for the overall usage and loyalty to the wash. It's not usual to see two or...

    Rotors switch or push buttons

I wouldn't write them off if the manufacturer is still around and you can save some money. What brand are they?

    carpet shampoo

I think bacterial growth can occur in an environment between about 4-9 on a pH scale. Some surfactants are anti-bacterial/anti fungal and can retard growth of slime. I haven't had any odor issues but have had a little slime build up in a tank before. I really haven't seen many problems other...

    Rotors switch or push buttons

Although push buttons are more modern and user friendly they have a tendency to require proprietary parts to work so I've stuck with rotary.

    carpet shampoo

Nothing special about the fragramatics products that I can find. I've used all kinds of consumer stuff with no perceivable difference in cleaning ability. Odoban carpet shampoo as mentioned above, Zep carpet shampoo, and the consumer carpet cleaner product called folex as a spot remover...

Dencar Technology Retrofit Doors (ACW Goldline)

As I understand it, yes. There is no lengthy process that makes the customer do anything prior to their first club purchase. It's simple and they can cancel at anytime. I think the first Month is pro-rated, then standard Monthly fee after that. Justr listened to Brent McUrdy's presentation he...

Old gravity fed system for rinse.

Do you have both hot and cold high pressure functions or just cold? Would you plan to change that in the future?

    Best In-Bay Hand Held Dryer

I prefer the air logic. I also have some premier and they're OK and half the price of the air logic but will not survive being run over. The diskin gun spike the amps over the motor nameplate rating when they occlude flow. That can't be good long term for the motor.

any awesome tricks for keeping the cameras dry?

I rotated my undercarriage spray bar so that it sprays slightly forward (instead of straight up)and that helped quite a bit

Mounting things on PVC wall panels

Not sure why my thumbnails are not showing up but I snapped a few pictures of my bay. The extrutech was installed in 2006 and still looks pretty good. The signage was redone maybe five years ago. The clear silicone has yellowed a bit. I’m in a warm region and no major vandalism concerns at...

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

Hmmm, maybe- maybe not. One potential local buyer told me he is interested but he is friction only and will remove any touch free machine. And if I don't see a significant bump in revenue (which I don't anticipate) the multiples might mess me up. This is a pretty decent grossing wash. Still-...

Mounting things on PVC wall panels

For bay function signs I use clear silicone and tape them up with painter's tape for a day. The following day, I remove the tape and run a super thin bead of silicone around the edge of the sign. If you don't do this they will get washed off as when your attendant is washing the walls they will...
