Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Good questions and ones that might be better answered by an Engineer from Rinnai?? My Takagi is a T-H3-DV-N 199btu...Water pressure is from 15-150...The manual does say to get maximum flow you need a minimum of 40 psi, and flow is based on setpoint, delta temp rise, and incoming water temp...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

BTWW, if anybody has a different opinion on what I stated, please feel free to elaborate. Its just how I interpret flow rates, pressure , and head pressure restriction on any given pipe size or valve.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

After looking at the spec sheet for the CU199iN, I would think you would need a backup water supply to your hot gravity tank like you mentioned...Also did you see a minimum water supply pressure of 50psi? Recommended 60-80psi.....At a 60° delta, you are looking at 6gpm output rating...I forget...

"The system is operating with the fill port loosely installed…so, it’s basically and open system". Could you explain this in a little more detail? How is this an open system?

    Brush hose

The PO had purchased some premade 3/8 assemblies from KR, with red air hose...They didn't seem to last very long at all. When they started failing, I replaced them with 3/8" black "Goodyear" Air Hose cut to length so the hose does not drag the bay floor when holstered...I Crimp my own 3/8" ends...

    Trashed Bays

I've had the same...Dumped out maggot infested fish! Maggots completely covering the bay floor and in the pit! Of the two, I would take latex paint any day! Maggots are harder to kill than I expected...Straight Pool Shock didn't seem to phase them right away! What did you use to kill them?!

    Trashed Bays

If it would have been a guy I probably would have! But since she was already histarical, I didn't want to make it worse than it already was...Luckily it was a water soluable latex paint....Took me a few hours with my 4400psi pressure washer to get it cleaned up.

    Trashed Bays

If you stay open after a snow and salt event, not trying to be mean, but what do you expect? When this happens, I spend a lot more time at the cw and keep the snow and salt clods pushed out of each bay. Other washes in town let it build up so bad people don't use their wash. I'm a firm believer...

    HP Hose protectors

If your PVC pipe is vertical where the gun goes in, you might change it to a 45° angle to eliminate the strain of the hose while holstered.

    AMS vendor - Comm Error

BTW...I learned early on that the program for just about any type of vendor is hard coded in the chipset.. The eprom stores user set parameters...Sometimes the eprom will get corrupt causing all kinds of issues...Taking the battery out will clear the eprom but you will have to reset all pricing...

    Carolina Pride Triple Foam

I find it amazing that manufacturers put in a PLC just to sequence tripple foam solenoids...Proprietary I guess along with expensive repairs....I found a cheap alternative controller on ebay a few years ago maybe $20, a programmable stop light sequencer that would run on 24vac. I have it on the...
