    Tire cleaner replacement

You're up early this morning! LOL....I forgot all about the time it takes to reach the wand in my response! That WAS a long time ago, you know!

    Tire cleaner replacement

I use Warsaw 554 presoak....When I bought my wash, it was delivered the same way as you, with a Flojet through the HP wand...At 60psi set on the flojet, it barely pisses out of the gun because of the small size nozzle! People see that as not getting much value, so they don't use it...A few years...

Help with Fleck Softener Head not Counting

I'll throw this out there Slash...Where I worked in manufacturing, they had the same size twin alternating Fleck 9000 that I have at my carwash....They had got Dayton Water to rebed both of the tanks a few years back...About a month later I was looking closely at the main valve and noticed they...

    Southern freeze coming

Sorry, I forgot to mention one important piece of the puzzle, I have floor heat...Weep only on high pressure guns and washer fluid/air injection on all the LP hoses...I went outside about 1:00 today and was going to reopen just 2 bays....It was 19° and the wind was brutal...Windchill probably...

    Southern freeze coming

Totally understand. Just replying to the post from traveler and thinking he needed doors....Staying open to -5° was a challenge for me to see how cold it could get and still stay open, without doors! LOL...Especially with all the work I did winterizing the CW! As I get older, I don't need the...

    Southern freeze coming

No need for doors...I've stayed open without doors down to -5° (minus 5°) and had customers washing cars....No freezeups...It can be done!

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Propress makes for a clean (and Quick) install... Looks nice! What size (BTU) and model Navien is that? And how many sq ft is the customer heating?

    Southern freeze coming

Might not be too good of idea to take hoses off and keep weep running! Can't remember where I got this picture or how long it took to get to this point, but know this is what can happen! This was from a busted hose or swivel union...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

I hate freezeups! Even though its only happened twice in 13 years! LOL. I have gone to great lengths to make sure it doesn't happen! So a lot of times, if the temps get down in the mid to low 20's at night with day time temps in the 40's, my slabs can make it all night ice free. So I don't turn...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

The pressure is created by the two taco's inline to the heaters when they are running, so making it an open system has nothing to do with it as long as all 3 pumps stay flooded 100% of the time.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

I've thought about it! The only way it would work is to put the reservoir in the attic higher than the trough. The tank could be plumbed in line with the return line in the attic. It should keep the system full all the time. Then I would have to get up there and check level or rig up something...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Maybe when its broken! LOL....Although, I have a flojet rigged up that will do the same thing! But thanks for the link! As for required inspections per code...Code was written many years ago when condensing boilers wasn't in existance or very rare...It was designed around larger non-condensing...

    Southern freeze coming

Not trying to confuse anyone...I loaded an older photo of my flojet and blowdown solenoids and didn't realize it till now....The photo below shows how I modified it for manual HP wand blowdown. The BV at the bottom pumps WF and the BV at the top pumps air through the weep system. Took me less...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

No Clue....Even though the main cicrculator is pumping, when the heater turns off, the pressure drops to zero. When the heater turns on, pressure comes up to 10psi...Maybe expanding glycol as its heated?? Bout all I can think of? Maybe I need to check the pressure on my expansion tank? Been this...

No regulator...I just let some glycol out from the service valve!

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Its just before the main circulator...Of the two gages shown, its the one on the right....This picture was taken when I fist started up the system. I had it set to 20psi...Later, changed it to 10psi.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

I was thinking the same thing! Could you pass this off as a non pressurized system?? I think not since it is closed....LOL...I used NoBurst that is supposed to have rust inhibitors in it...So far I haven't had any issues...
