Simoniz presoak for touch free cleaning

Waxman, did you ever install the in line filter on the powder mix like I initially suggested. That will keep the solenoids from plugging and is easy to clean the filter when needed. I also use the MC liquid with the foaming side of the 2 part mix I use through a dual tip injector.

Simoniz presoak for touch free cleaning

Waxman, you can check with Kleenrites chemical guy and he can lead you to a liquid of similar if that is what you are loking for. Why do you want to change what you know was working for you? It should work even better with your new equipment.

I tried to get in touch with AMS. I left a email with them and they got back to me 3 weeks later right after I ordered one from Friday valley.

If You Weren't in the Car Wash Business...

I would probably still be in the tire business. Family business that I started working at when I was 14 in a recap plant and then all the other jobs after that. I do have a business degree but could never see myself being a banker with so many free hours.

Replacing the old vendor, but with what?! Recommendations?

I have a couple of the older large AMS vendors that SHurevend sold me about 20 years ago. I have had to replace a few boards lately on them and they just go out soon afterwards. I am biting the bullet and moving onto other vendors. I ordered a vendor from Etowah Valley and it should be here on...

Prep brush, Hog Hair vs Another

I have been using the smaller wheel wizard nylon brushes for a couple of decades for self prep brushes and never had a complaint. The smaller brushes help to discourage those who want to scrub the whole car down.

    Banning Fleet vehicles

What I do with fleet vehicles is a issue a wash card with prepaid amounts on them. I tell them if your guys leave the bays the dirty I will clean up the mess and deduct what ever amount of time I have spent to clean up after them. They are better about cleaning the bays but when they don't I can...

    Trash cans are gone

One thing I have really noticed in this pandemic is the amount of people who are now living in their cars. Daily I get them pulling up and only cleaning all the trash out of their cars and driving off.

    'm getting to hate Starbucks

I had a Taco wagon park on a laundry mat parking lot next to one of my washes. This place had only 5 parking spots to begin with. Naturally everyone parked on my lot all the time. The worst was every Saturday the police would come and park 8 cars or so on my lot and had no problem blocking off...

Minimum rotation speed for a brush

A top brush will need more speed than a side brush I think. As I recall side brushes rotate between 50 to 100 rpms but not sure of top brush on the units I have had.

Feel like I'm held hostage by Google Reviews

I have had reviews for my wash from 2500 miles away. I am in Idaho and they were rating a wash in FLorida but used my name. I always respond in a positive way but do not really worry about them anymore.

Ice building up on bay walls

I had a winter where the ice built up on the walls 4 or 5 inches thick. Concrete block wall and the sheet eventually came off the wall in a big sheet when it warmed up a little. Of course there was a car in that bay and the ice sheet did about $1400 damage to the car. The next summer I installed...
