    Rest-Rooms with Blue Light?

I did put in 2 blue led 60W equivalent LED bubs from Amazon. One mature lady went in & had a bit of fun as she went into the small restroom before she closed & locked the door. With other customers also noticing while the door was still open ... I asked her "tell me the truth ... how do you...

    New Change Machine recommendation

If it were mine ... I would look closely at your existing changer cabinet. If stainless steel ... no brainer keep. If just cosmetic (slight rust) ... it might be worthwhile to sandblast & powder coat ... possibly vinyl wrap - new decals etc.

    New Change Machine recommendation

I have often wondered by having our 2 four hopper three bill compartment bin-sorter Standard Changemakers inside our laundromat vs out in the weather car wash wise ... how much possible more maintenance issues we have avoided with the changers since 1987???

    Washgear still in business?

Yeah ... but I still think "team" mentality could still apply keeping some of the companies us lowlife operators depend on it top operation mode! I remember way back when ... when the ICA utilized "Lou Holtz" as a speaker & me as a member getting the DVD of his convention speech. That was a...

    Washgear still in business?

If I remember correctly ... he identified himself as Jim's son during a phone call follow-up relating to a significant purchase of six bill acceptor Coinco (paper tokens etc) with the six external boxes similar to what Earl Weiss has ... but that was several years ago. I could be wrong. Maybe...

    Rest-Rooms with Blue Light?

Like many car wash - convenience store facilities we have a rest room for our customers. It is IMO a plus also for the car n dog wash portion of our business. Having said that .... we really don't want the restroom(s) to be too extra nice... to the point that some customers &/or customers...

Key Organization! How do you do it?

I was kind of blown away when I very recently got my brand new 2022 complete technology package vehicle that just requires a Proximity FOB ... no need to use a key except in an emergency. Old hat for some but new for me! Also, I am acquainting myself with a Ooma Phone Plan ... it has a...

    Help w/ buying new Vacs

Based on experience ... I would make sure that there are 4 filter bags vs just 2 filter bags. Thoroughly washing those 4 filter bags with our commercial duty front load washing machines once a year probably is one of the reasons why our vacuums are used more than our competition ... especially...

    Gas Prices..

My memories of observations when gas prices have skyrocketed in the past ... people drove less ... which in turn made for less car washing. Less discretionary spending funds left over ... also comes into play. Also IMHO ... credit card debt eventually does catch up with some of the automobile...

Article on Showing How the Enticing War on Cash Ends!!!

I do not agree with the below article on mandatory introduction of $2K bills to accommodate inflation ... because of a painful first hand experience & observation of a "supposedly handicapped" murderous "facebook allowed" drug dealer. But for smaller transactions ... cash should still play a...

What did you all do before cameras?

I have found that for our specific operation ... there is too much loss of productivity for us to be watching the cameras too much. In other words we more rely on the cameras in conjunction with an ALARM TRIGGER! Alarms that we are in the process of playing with ... tend to allow the ability...

Hello to the AutoCareForum members again

I remember Jim making the effort on a phone call to give me a heads up on the pitfalls of taking both credit card & cash on an AMS Mega Vendor. I appreciated his patience towards the question with an answer based on actual experience vs me-dumbo going down a bad road with many regrets.

What did you all do before cameras?

To answer ... it was a bit harder from 1968- 1982. Gathering conclusive evidence on various perps was definitely more difficult but not impossible. I am now more concerned about how law enforcement & DAs interpret etc .... with the camera evidence than it used to be in the past. That probably...

    Foam Brush Hose

I wonder if hi pressure hose reusable ends could be used? Then a "not used often enough" crimping tool would not have to be purchased.

    Foam Brush Hose

The pushlock hose also means no clamp or crimping tool which is helpful vs the air hose.
