I never worked at or was ever even in a carwash until the day I bought one. I find carwash equipment to be very simple to work on. I have an industrial maintenance and controls background so I find the carwash to be the simplest stuff I have ever worked on.

Maybe you could just rig up something to spray a little scent in the bay around the drivers area. It wouldn't necessarily need added to the presoak to get the smell. The customer wouldn't know the difference of where it was coming from.

If you are not good at troubleshooting and fixing electrical problems you are probably not going to make it very far in this field. Mechanical issues don't require much troubleshooting skill so I doubt you would get many calls for mechanical issues.

I would be interested to know how many people actually deduct the mileage from their home to their carwash? The IRS says your not suppose to deduct this mileage. I have had accountants tell me if you have a home office its easier to justify this mileage.
