    Laser 4000 arch rotate gearbox

Looks like I am going to get my first chance to change one of these in the morning. Anyone got any tips or tricks to make it go a little easier? It looks like a bit of a chore at first glance. Thanks in advance.

Can't believe this stupidity... Yes you can!

Just fyi- When I have a machine coned off for a repair, I also hit my "emergency stop" button. This sends the cashier to "out of service" and will keep it from taking a payment. This is because I too have had idiots move the cones and try to go right in. I usually close the doors, as well, and...

Touchless Front & Rear Eyebrow removal

I have Laser 4000s and some friction machines with neoglide. I usually run my personal vehicle through the Lasers 2-3 times to one of the friction. After Lasers 2-3 times it gets that film build up. Sometime the eyebrow does not even come off in my friction machines. So I am wondering this...

Saving a few $$ with Zoro Tools

Thank you, Greg! I just had an order sitting in my cart waiting for them to send a 10% off to me, which they usually do. The 20% worked perfect. (plus I get 6% cash back for shopping through Rakuten) Keep 'em coming, please; if you get more. Zoro is just about always cheaper than Grainger, plus...

Lex air valve replacement to 24 volt solenoid

Yes it can be done. I did it on two laser 4000s. Those lexairs are a pita. No issues with the hp dema solenoids....and no air leaking. Been on about 4 years. Wire it just as you said. Make sure you have a pressure blowout, just in case something fails.

    Mirror got smashed

All my washes have signs for; Fold in Mirrors and Remove or lower antennas. When customers ask me: "do I really need to do that?", I respond to that by saying: "Do it or pick them up out of the bay when wash is over."

    Mirror got smashed

Signage usually states that mirrors must be folded in. Were yours folded in?

    Auto Fragrance - Missing Equipment

Call Fragramatics. I sent 5 machines back to them for refurb. It was about $1200 each; $200 more for one that needed a compressor. They came back absolutley in brand new appearance. The refurb includes new decals, new hose/gun, new led visual display and interior light, new pick up tubes and...

    Pressure setting

I bought a wash that the operator had that bend in the wand ends. He was running barely running 750 psi. It sucked at cleaning, and I personally did not like fighting the wand to keep in place; therefore I know my customers would not like it. I changed all those in short order. We run 25055...

Floor Switch (Pressure Pad) for Water Wizard 2.0

I used this one on a WW 1.0; eliminating the photo eyes. In the Winter, we had an issue with clumps of snow blocking the eyes and making it seem car was on treadle, when in fact it was not. Then, it would go "out of service"...

    Change machine tech

http://www.changerexchange.com/ Very nice lady here. They repair all the AC hoppers (last time I checked, anyhow) Very reasonable price, too. She sells well below AC list price.

Water Bill and RO Waste Water

There is no such thing as "normal" in my opinion. Too many variables from wash to wash; such as s/s volume, nozzle size on wands, pressure on wands, iba volume, type of iba, etc. What is your cost per 1000 gallons; this is what most compare. My locations average about $10.00 per thousand...

    Laser 4000 24vdc help

Got it fixed; just had to walk away for a bit. Had stray voltage on the ground the p/s was hooked to. Once I cleared that up, I was able to re-engage each module for troubleshooting. Ended up being the left limit switch was sucking all the dc voltage down to 6vdc. Changed it out; now good to go...

    Laser 4000 24vdc help

The fuse on my 1.5 amp 24vdc power supply keeps blowing. I unhooked all the power to the input and output modules and the vt board. I was going to power up one at a time to try and isolate the issue. But with everything unhooked, the fuse still blows. Changed power supply, for craps and kicks...

    NCS- Armor All/Blue Coral/ZEP

For those of you using these products, what is your opinion of NCS taking over? It seems to me a lot of price increases, a lot of discontinuation of my favorite products, and little to no distributor support. My local distributor just told me there are raising the minimum order from $15k to...
