    Tankless, Instantaneous, Water Heaters

I really like the Phoenix but the price is kinda nutty now. http://bostonheatingsupply.com/phoenixph199-80stainlesssteelngwaterheater.aspx IIRC tdlconcepts Thomas was talking about a setup where he ran antifreeze through a closed loop tankless water heater and then it went into a heat...

    Bay wall Decoration

It seems like I saw someone on here have one from many years ago as part of their Christmas decorations they set out at their wash.

    Replacing CryptoPay buttons - how?

After looking at your old button I bet they were made by Bulgin and not E-Switch. I bought some larger illuminated anti-vandal Bulgin switches for a JE Adams combo vac that have a very similar lug pattern. I'm betting they make one that fits that so you could re-solder them in the same way.

    Replacing CryptoPay buttons - how?

Ours were the newer style with the wires running to the buttons.

Cool. You could spray it with pine scent spray every once in a while.

    Tankless, Instantaneous, Water Heaters

Most car washes do not use them because all most all have a restrictor valve that throttles flow until the output is the correct temp. That means your pump can starve if direct connect or even your gravity feed tank can starve. (if you do not have a backup second cold water float valve set...

    85% expenses???

There's a lot of good info in that Sonny's power point presentation but it looks like it might be a year or two old. If that is the case you might want to add 20% to the construction cost and at least 5-7% for the equipment. I talked to a contractor the other day and he said metal roofing might...

Hamilton Goldline swap over to Cryptopay.. Pros and Cons?

Could you give us some real stories where Cryptopay had fraudulent issues? It does not seem to be an issue. Maybe in the future it will? I'm not saying Cryptopay is anywhere near perfect but when you look at all our options it always seems to be the best for most washes.

    Extrutech in IBA

I was just looking at the Tapcon brand and did not look at others. Fairly pricey but a good option for car washes. Have you snapped any?

The ones that come with them are a straight shanked masonry bit. I also have both a Bosch SDS Plus and Bosch SDS Max rotary hammers. They are corded so if I'm just putting in a few holes I tend to use the 18v cordless hammer drill with the straight shank bit. I have had issues with the 3/16...

    Extrutech in IBA

I recently found that out but it looks like they do not make the short 1 1/4" screws in stainless and the longer ones are not threaded all the way to the head.

I usually use the bit that comes with them.

Could be it. Next time I'll pay closer attention to hole size.

I see that they also recommend those all nylon nail-in anchors for masonry. Has anyone used that method? We have used them for signs but sometimes the nail/pin breaks off before fully driving it in or if not careful the head cracks if you overdrive a tad. It seems that we had better luck with...

What are stainless oval head anchors? The install manual recommends a 3/16" by 1 1/4" flat head Tapcon with a 1/4" stainless washer under it. Hopefully Tapcons have improved because I have snapped off tons of 3/16 diameter ones over the years before they would even draw down.

New technology advice on Surveillance Cameras

You could consider hiding the DVR better and using an additional DVR for a dummy in plain sight for the taking. It would of course need to be powered up for the indicator lights and have a bunch of cables plugged in the back.

    Possible purchase

I'm sure the wash that is almost right next door to the new EE is taking a much bigger hit.

    Possible purchase

I'm also about a half hour from that wash and looked at it briefly. I think it nets about $100K per year and the asking price seems somewhat reasonable at first glance. It looks like a well built wash in a good area. My main concerns are the $300K one might put into two new automatics/auto...
