I'm wondering if it is humanly possible for a dirty car (one with road oils, not just dust) to get 100% clean in a Self-Serve wash if you DON'T use the foam brush step? Some people claim that allowing the pre-soak to have time to dwell will allow it to loosen the dirt and cause the dirt to...
I'm sure fixed shops that focus on dealer work would be down, but I know of many high-end mobile guys that cater to the uber rich are busier than heck! I'd suggest if a business takes a down turn to expand/venture out into other streams of related income.
Has anyone ever witnessed 1 of these style washes ever? I heard people talking about them being in Canada, but are there any in the States still around? I also knew of a Touchless version that recently closed in the Metro Detroit area. Lots of overhead with poor management killed it.
I'd say that $50-$100 is a good starting point for just the ozone treatment only. And yes, depending on the odor and the root of it, a complete cleaning of the interior must be done 1st. I usually ran my machines in each vehicle for 30-60 minutes with the AC turned up full blast and then left it...
Does anyone offer detailing at their Self Serve? Depending on the wash volume and/or amount of bays you have, I could see doing an easy conversion of 1 of the bays(next to equipment room) into a mini detail shop. Or, depending on the weather, it could be done under a canopy. The tunnels do a...
That's what I do occasionally too. The Absorber never seems to totally dry the vehicle like a cotton/MF towel does. Also, if it's even the slightest bit dirty, it will leave a film on windows.
Be very careful with water blades! If you get 1 speck of dirt caught in it you're screwed. Could cost...
I'd be real skeptical for many reasons. I'd hate to follow behind a pooprly prepped vehicle/aircraft. I'd say proper prep is key to a sucessful detail and what if the person you contracted to prep them didn't do the right job? You'll either waste a bunch of time doing it over or fight through...
I too used Fragramatics. I must have used there water based stuff (sold by the gallon) because I used to cut it 50/50 with water? It always seemed to last atleast 3-4 days.
Hello - I'm in the preliminary research stages for purchasing a self Serve wash and I'd like to know some and/or the best ways to find one that's on the market. I'm in S. Florida & I'm wondering what the market is like down here. Any advise your able to give would be helpful.
Thanks in...
