You don't know enough to be giving advice, and I never said you won't ever have experience. I said you're pretending you have knowledge that you don't. I will call you out every time you give advice to protect the people looking for information.

I always run 1/2" hose. I just use poly braid over push-lock barbs if there's no pressure, makes service easier and costs less. It's plenty of flow, and if there's a check valve on the 1/2" line it gives just enough drag that you don't need to throttle the supply.

It should come with a blowdown that you switch on manually. The ones we installed in Texas all had it.

A bead sounds like a better idea than anything else so far. It would add material and help with traction.
