When third parties don't seek out a native integration with us, it makes troubleshooting issues much harder as we have limited knowledge of how their hardware/software works and how it could adversely affect the operation of our kiosks.
We're still waiting for Worldpay to complete a software update for the reader that enables tap, so hard to say exactly. We've had everything done on our end for several months.
Update the GL3 controller to version 1.1.7 - we have a fix for the 'Purchase Complete' message issue.
As far as being guinea pigs, far from it :-D We do our best to test all of our hardware and software but inevitably, as with every manufacturer and industry out there, we run into bugs...
If both locations used the same Hosted Solutions account, yes. The app receives data (pricing, promos, clubs etc.) via the API and key assigned to the Hosted Solutions account.
There is a $200.00 monthly fee for the app, but that covers unlimited sites. And unlike third party hacks, we don't take a cut of your revenue. It's a well-rounded app that has a wide range of features to meet the needs of pretty much any market or customer, so you don't have to limit yourself...
Hamilton has an EMV solution in beta phase for the DTT's now. Should be ready for a wider rollout Q1 2021, feel free to reach out to us if you are interested.
Don't say things like that! As a British expatriate who has lived in the US for 13 years, I still do most of my graphic design and measurements in metric :p
Yep! We use the iUC285 by Ingenico, which is a 3-in-1 reader (chip, tap, swipe). It mounts directly into the existing bolt holes on the HTK and GL, so you don't need to do any quirky drilling or cutting. Processing is through Worldpay.
Right now, it can only process chip and mag but Worldpay is...
Cards will still be processed via mag stripe readers beyond April, but the liability will be 100% on the merchant as it has been since 2015. This could involve:
Chargebacks initiated by customers (we've had a few merchants who said their customers know they can dispute charges when they use...
You're really going to struggle to find a decent touch screen pay station for $5k unless you jump on the glut of XPT's that Mister Car Wash locations are pulling out (they're moving from DRB to Micrologic). I'd say triple your budget and you'll be able to find something that meets your needs and...
Actually, the Commander shares virtually no components with Gold Line. It uses the same architecture as HTK, but is designed to be more compact and economical (hence the lack of a bill dispenser, no dual hopper etc.). The only real similarity is its size, and that was done intentionally to make...
@prostock I'll give you an honest assessment on the Hamilton solution that will hopefully help in your decision making (I work for them).
Rather than focusing solely on monthly plans, we designed the app to offer a wide range of features to give the most flexibility to operators and customers...
The dimensions of the Commander are identical to that of the ACW and Gold Line pay stations, just slide the old one out and the new one in.
Commander is $17,995 fully-loaded - touch screen, EMV credit card processing, XE validator, coin mech, barcode scanner, door & cabinet wraps, buy-up...
Your only option for EMV or contactless is to install an Ingenico iUC285 from Hamilton. HTK will not recognize coin inputs like ACW's and Gold Line's for credit card purposes. I'd be careful continuing with this as it would also void any Hamilton warranty on components.
Hamilton did offer a...
It's possible one of your read heads has gone out, or you have one of the very first Gold Line's that only had a single-head reader. Would a decal like this fix this issue? I can get one in the mail to you at no charge if you want.
