Cleaned off a shelf at the car wash and found these hoppers. I have different changers and have no use for them. No idea if they work or not but I would guess they do since they were rebuilt in 2015 and have been sitting on the shelf since then.
If anyone has a use for these please let me know...
I had a bank teller steal money from me once (actually probably more than once) by doing this. He took a handful of bills and put them under the counter. I knew how much it should have been and it was way short. I called him out on it and he magically “found” the rest. Never again.
I have a “key extractor” set that I have had good luck with several times. Different shapes and sizes that you stick in the lock and then pull the broken key piece back out.
I think that is the best plan. I’ll contact Cat and see if they will repair it under warranty and then rebuild it and keep it as a spare. If they won’t warranty it for some reason I’ll look into paying to get it repaired.
Anyone have any tips/tricks for cleaning the inside plastic on the MicroCoin acceptors? Once they are in use for a while the gunk from coins starts to coat the plastic walls and the coins get jammed more often. I have tried using electronic cleaner (to not damage the internals) but that didn’t...
Thanks! Makes sense.
As for the picture of the slight damage to the old head, would it be worth sending it to Cat to be repaired?
Now that I know the problem was caused by the old swing check valve I could try putting that old head back on and see if it works fine. The valves and seals were...
I think that backflow preventer on the incoming side might have been the problem. I just removed it and have the water coming straight into the pump and it seems much better. Do I need that backflow valve in there or can I just leave it off?
Thanks for the reply. Something is definitely not right because I decided to try a brand new head and it still pulsates/vibrates. Here is a picture of how it is plumbed if it helps. I just put a new unloader on there and am about to try again. Anything else I should try?
The valves and their...
Looks like this one is washed out? The rest are smooth but this has pitting in a few spots where the valve should sit flush. Can someone confirm this is what it looks like when it is washed out?
Looking at the pump now - seems to have a “W” stamped on it, so I guess it’s already been warrantied before?
Dumb question but could I use a Cat 310 instead of this one for my spot free? I have several of those lying around and it would be easy to put one in instead of converting to a different...
Is anyone else being forced over to WorldPay now? Just noticed CryptoPay set all of my swipers at all locations to “Out of Service” and I cannot change them back. Seems like their way of finally forcing the switch. Not cool.
That might be the way to go. Then I could keep the existing Baldor motor as a spare for my bays since it still works fine.
I have 3 phase power at this location - are there any good 3 phase motors? They tend to last a lot longer.
Do I need all of those attachments you linked to? Some look...
My spot free pump right now is a Cat 5CP2150W and a Baldor motor. The pump is vibrating enough to be noticeable in the bays so I need to either repair it or replace it. I haven’t had a chance to take the valves out yet but I am guessing it is probably washed out?
If it’s not washed out I can...
I use the stainless steel swivels from KR and then repair them when the plastic parts inside wear out. Slightly more expensive upfront but easy to repair and they last a long time.
