You might try using several layers of grey tape on the vac hose end that you will install into the vac sleeve.
Layer it enough so it’s hard to twist it into the sleeve. It will be tough but you can still be able to remove the hose.
If your using a 2”hose I would attach a 2“ cuff to the hose once you install the hose into the vac.
Many years ago I use to wrap the hose with gray tape once it was inside the vac. Not pretty but it worked.
I would UPGRADE.
Add J.E. Adams 75000-SWL-R Red 360 Degree Swivel Steel Boom Arch Stanchion For Car Wash Vacuums.
I would also add AIR LOGIC BLOWERS in all the bays.
I also believe in LOTSA SOAP. Cheapest advertising.
Fresh paint .
I use JBS presoak and their tire cleaner.
I also buy a 5 gallon bucket of their Foamer, very economical for the show.
I pour 1/2 cup of foamer in to the presoak and tire cleaner tanks to boost the foamy look when the customers use either presoak and the tire cleaner.
I’ve installed the JOBE FLOAT VALVE 4 or 5 years ago. So far no problems but I probably jinxed myself.
Walters for me was good but when they failed I’d walk into the equipment room with water flowing out of the rinse container all over the floor.
Stop wasting your time. Buy the Hamilton, get a mason and forget about it.
Since the 70’s that is all I’ve ever had at my washes with NO problems.
End of story
The site looks HUGE.
Looks like you have large frontage on the Main Street and with 1 stop light intersection which turns in to the complex close to the your site and another road frontage on one other side.
Not sure what type of wash you’re thinking about building.
Being that you have a repair...
I’m pretty sure it’s because as you say you’re using it in your tunnel not your self serv.
I am in the process of redoing my tunnel and will definitely be using it.
It’s my self services that I’m also thinking about adding it too. I‘m pretty sure many of the self service operators here are...
AnalyticWash I believe ceramic is the way to go.
How did you get the numbers to come up with the graph?
Because the graph though is not compelling for making my decision nor is your attitude.
This industry has changed LARGELY since early 2000’s BECAUSE of new investors who were more open to...
Rfreeman the office I was in had a small bathroom.
For your units if you don’t have water going to it now I would add it to each unit if you leased them out as office units.
I would charge a monthly Common Area and Maintenance (known as CAM cost) charge to each unit leased out for water...
