    WW2 No Stop

You must have a different setup than I do. My treadle uses a banner eye. I'm assuming you have a plate the trips a prox switch. Most of the time it would either be the prox or the connection. Find the terminal for the treadle on the ID-16 (channel 2009-0) and take the wire loose. Then operate...

    WW2 No Stop

Sounds like you have an issue with the treadle eye. Have you checked to see if the ID 16 or the red lion is showing a break in the eye when it's blocked? It may be a bad receiver or cable.

    Property Tax comparison question

I have a 4 & 2 on a 20,000 SF lot. Taxes are $936 per year. My 3 & 1 on an acre by Walmart is $2054. We do have a 6% corporate income tax and a 5% income tax on individuals. People here think we have high property taxes. LOL.

I don't know seems a bit tame now compared to 15 years ago or so.

    WW2.0 Prox Error

I get my cables from automation direct. https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Shopping/Catalog/Cables/Sensors_-z-_Switches/Micro_(M12)_Harsh_Duty_-z-_Food_-a-_Bev._Q-z-D_Cables/EVT224 Cut the connector off at the wheel and skin the cover back, then connect the inner wires of each cable by...

    WW2.0 Prox Error

Both can be on at one time. Make sure the wheel is not worn and wobbling. I would just replace the prox and make sure to put dielectric grease in the fitting. If you keep getting the error change the cable. If you get a "short wash" after that I would look at the EOT and Home prox.

DO you use swivels on your guns, if so, which is best?

The old SW 504. I've tried a bunch of different ones but in 26 years this this is the best. Not worth rebuilding imo.

    Pressure tips ??? pressure problems

I've run 15065 for years. My competition had 25 degree tips so I put those on and I had a lot of complaints. People are happy and it takes them longer to get the soap off. Of course the hunters and mudders like the 15 degrees better.

Net Neutrality and the Car Wash Industry

Veiled sarcasm is the best. LOL. All issues today end up being scorched earth fabrications by both sides. That's why I joined the LP (lp.org) 25 years ago. Social media news is going to be the ruin of the country. For everybody that loved government regulation and limited competition should...

Net Neutrality and the Car Wash Industry

Actually I was being a smarta$$ on the Al Gore comment as I well aware of the beginnings of the net. He made the statement back in the day that he did invent it and was ridiculed for it. Goes along with the sky is falling on NN.

New changer going in -- what's your preference?

I bought a Hamilton DRS in 1997. This has to be the best changer on the planet after I put mars acceptor's in. In 20 years I put a couple of coins switches in after about 10 years and finally after 12 years just put 2 new hoppers in. That's it. Never have a problem.

Net Neutrality and the Car Wash Industry

"Net neutrality" is only 2 years old. The internet did pretty good from when Al Gore invented it till 2015 when the Obama Administration implemented it. http://reason.com/blog/2017/12/05/no-the-fcc-isnt-overturning-net-neutrali.

Can self serves survive a recession?

My deviation during the recession was not significant when factoring in weather. In the SE we had a bad drought in 2007 and had a outlying high year. I'm thinking of converting a couple of bays to drug & liquor drive through. It appears that's about the only thing left the big box people...

    Wash Select Jackpot feature

I had this problem before but it was emptying the hopper. Some paper from the coin wrapper got in the hopper and ended up holding the count switch open. Luckily I had a friend going through and brought me the dollar coins back.

Valuing Car wash in 2016 market

You need to hire someone to perform a business valuation. There are way to many variables to use a simplistic gross multiplier. There are professionals out there that can do this. It may cost you 5-10k but based on the size of you operation it would probably be worth it. Also, find a competent...

    You've been around, how long?

Yea, it was a lot more active back in the day. Pat kept everybody riled up with his reading assignments. I still have some of his instructional" books he put out back in the 80's that I so disagreed with. Anyway this site has been good to me over the years.

Looking for a replacement float valve for the individual bay tanks for Futura equip.

Did you set up a cold tank & a hot tank then route it through the dual inlet solenoid valve? I've had bad luck with the Suttner valves sticking and not lasting long. I don't have any wall space for a single tank without moving a bunch of stuff. I've been on cold water for a year with no...

100psi drop when gun is used...Cat/GinSan stand

Am I missing something. You get a 100 psi drop from 1000 to 900. All my pumps have always done this. I run at 1100 psi and dial it up to about 1200 when the trigger is not pulled. Just have someone have the trigger pulled and adjust the bypasss up to your target pressure.

    LED wall pack

I got tired of reading about all the 5000 different leds, watts, lumens etc. It's like trying to buy cell phone service. Good night how many choices can we have. I tried the diagonal stuff years ago and I just put them in the middle about 10' back from the front and back of a 24' bay. 19k lumens...

    LED wall pack

I have 2 400 watt metal halide in my existing wash SS bays. Last year I bought another location down the road with 2 250w wall packs in each bay. I have never liked 2 wall packs because they never seemed to put off enough light. When I updated this wash I installed 2 150 watt LED's kleen rite...
