    Sensotron

I've always had good results with Sensortron repairs .. just got several back, and like Dan said they were $40 each to repair. A couple were giving too many pulses per quarter, a couple had no power, etc. Just call in and they'll give you a RMA# -- they were back within a week or two.

    In Bay Wall Paint Color

Thanks MEP -- I've never really considered just using tape, never thought it would hold up to the environment! On the drilling, I assume you are using a diamond bit?

    In Bay Wall Paint Color

I’m just south of Houston, so the winters are even easier for me than you! My main drawback to the tile has always been drilling into it. I’ve got approximately four signs per bay plus the wand holder, so not all of the holes are going to line up with the grout lines. The signs could be...

    In Bay Wall Paint Color

I've been thinking about using tile also, so it's good to hear from someone who has had a good experience. I know MEP has a post showing a wash with tile that I think he said is 10+? years old. How tough is it to drill into for wand holders, signs, etc? You mentioned sealing the grout .. is...

    Best Floor Switch?

Thanks Soapy .. looks great! I'm thinking of making one a little closer to the 'treadle-less' concept. The main problem I have is with the guys who drive in at 10mph and jump the treadle -- even with a stop light, horn blaring, and red led's around the stop light! I'm looking at the ramped...

    Best Floor Switch?

Thanks Soapy, that’d be awesome. That’s what I was thinking about even the 5” wide switches..I’d like to give the customer as much area to hit as possible. I’ve even thought about the 24”x30” ones, but they run close to $500...so they’d need to last a LONG time!

    Best Floor Switch?

I think I'm going to try to put something together like Soapy's done for a treadle and use a pressure switch. Does anyone have and good/bad experiences with certain brands? I'm looking at the ones from Kleen-rite -- Recora & London Mat. Also, Soapy (and whoever else may have done this), what...

    Homemade Virtual Treadle

I think I saw an older post of yours about doing this, and have definitely considered it. How has your reliability been with the mats? I know the floor switches I use for backup and undercarriage (just the 5x24 size) seem to fail more often than I'd like. What size mats are you using and how...

    Homemade Virtual Treadle

I was thinking that once the vehicle left the bay, the eyes would once again see each other and the wash would go back to ready mode..just like driving off the treadle. Are you thinking there may be a delay problem since it would take longer to exit the 'treadle'? The wash is an old Specialty...

    Homemade Virtual Treadle

Two of my touch free autos still have the old metal treadles, and I'd say that 95% of the calls I get are from people that don't stop in the correct spot. I'm thinking of just replacing the treadle with two photoeyes, one on each wall that see each other .. when the beam is broken by the front...

Wash Select II Buttons not functioning

For anybody having this problem in the future, I finally found a broken wire… Connector on the bottom left side of the circuit board that the buttons are wired to.

    3/8" High Pressure Hose

Appreciate the replies .. looks like this is the hose that the majority uses, and no one else seems to be having any problems with them, so it's probably just me. I'm getting a lot more big truck traffic at my main wash, and they're quite a bit rougher on the hoses, so that may be most of the...

Wash Select II Buttons not functioning

Has anyone had the problem of the buttons not functioning on the Wash Select II? All 4 won't register, in normal or test mode. They seemed to have faded out the past couple of days..they wouldn't work, then they worked for a day, now back to not working. Sometimes they work but it takes a...

    3/8" High Pressure Hose

I currently get bulk 3/8" HP hose from Kleenrite (https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2736-blue-high-pressure-hose-38.aspx) .. it seems to me that it doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it used to - I know it used to be Goodyear, and now it's Continental. It just seems to be blowing out more...

    Self-made Hoses for Fragrance Vacs

Anyone out there make there own hoses for the fragrance assembly? Coleman is up to $275+ for the whole thing (gun, hose, etc), but it's usually just the hose that needs replacing. They use a wire-braided hp hose, which seems like overkill since it's just a hose that holds the tubes (nothing...

    polymax panels for baysne

So what are the disadvantages of this stuff? It seems solid (so no holes like Extrutek), easy to install, pretty reasonable on pricing..and seems to have held up for those who have used it. I assume it's a little 'duller' in looks than Extrutek -- anything else?

    polymax panels for baysne

I've started looking at these also. I've got a lot of research to do, but couple of questions as I start -- how are you attaching to the wall? What are you attaching it over .. brick/block/etc? What thickness have you used?

    Washdown Switch/Key

For those of you who have a washdown switch on their faceplates in the bays .. where do you buy them, and how reliable or long lasting are they? I've been getting mine through Coleman for years, but recently they seem to be failing quicker, and they're up to about $50 a pop. I believe they are...

    Hamilton Cashier 'Unexpected Coin Drop'

Update on the hopper. After having the hopper work fine for a couple more days with the backup hopper in, then having it go out of service for 2 days straight, I went ahead and ordered the new switch and installed it (thanks Randy for the heads up on the styles and part #'s!) I installed it...
