If its like mine. There is that eye located on the passenger side in front of the wheel scrub. Cant really see it but there is a square cut out, like 4 inches above the floor, that shoots a beam over to the the driver side just above the wheel scrub on that side. Every once in a while leaves or...
what are your wash splits. How many use the 9$ versus the $11 and $13. Is Ceramic for all packages?
I'm in a similar boat. I will be adding Ceramic this spring and most of my customers choose my top wash. I think I need to raise the top wash and add the ceramic to differeniate my washes.
I live in a rural town with just under 4,000. Figured that would keep me safe from a tunnel. I can't fathom how a tunnel and its costs will make a profit. I would suggest holding on for a bit longer with hopes that you are better positioned, financially than the tunnel, to weather a downturn in...
I would suggest reaching out to the other owner to see if they are willing to sell. It may be an easier way to get into the business and gain some experience from that owner.
Looking to have a custom Splash guard made similar to the photo below. If you had one made. Who made it. Local sign company or dealer? Any special considerations if I have one made?
No advice from me but I can commiserate. I am almost daily blown away by the people who don't want to take my money. I have reached out several times for various upgrades I am interested in.
Others with more experience will chime in but the key for me is finding a good distributor.
Congratulations on the set up.
My only thought was it takes a little longer than expected to wash. Mine does the full wash in 6 minutes yours looks to be about 8.
Good luck and keep us updated.
I have doors on both entrance and exit, with in floor heat. I shut down at 0 F. I am also only open from 6:00am to 10:00pm. So I avoid some of the coldest times.
Biggest issue for me when its this cold is the fog created when a car drives in. I was shut down Sunday - Tuesday. Cleaned and then...
I purchased the GGBAY48IB. I believe they are 4 8 foot sections for my IBA. Mounted on the ceiling. 50,000 lumens. Easy to install but a little pricey. They light the place up like an operating room;) but it really does not feel like overkill. I keep my bay very clean and I wanted to showcase...
I had a great weekend also 80 and 70. small town also. November was my worst month, overcast, no rain. so this weekend really helped get things back on track.
Customer calls me today and says he needs a refund because the washer stopped on him. I go to reset the machine and notice he completely knocked the drivers side gantry off the track.
Watching the video he was too close to the passenger side and the brush hit his truck. So he backed up while...
We had a flood up here where I live about 10 years ago. FEMA was great but they are there for a long term fix. Get signed up and recieve money to help you rebuild.
The local and state are the ones who are going help today.
Having gone through it. I had it better than most but still a...
As someone who purchased their first car wash 1 year ago, from my neighbor. I was blown away when I found out the volume of cars that used this carwash in my small town, with competition from another in town. Young people, I'm not young, are looking for opportunities but are unaware of what is...
I have put out four pots for the last couple of years. So far so good. If they get vandalized I take the view that they gave some joy for a while. I'm on the main street of my small town. I feel an obligation to try and represent the town with some beauty.
There's always some kid doing stupid...
It does appear I have a inline filter located in the carwash machine itself. Do these filters ever need to be replaced? I am assuming they are about 10 years old.
I am new here so take my advice with a grain of salt. If getting new equipment. Make sure you have a good service provider. They have made a huge difference for me as I get up to speed and learn what I can and cannot repair.
I will look into the smc drain. Not sure if the gantry has one. I will check later. I paid 603 for the new part which included 50 for shipping. Also purchased the kit for 218, which included $30 for shipping.
The soft touch actually uses the actuator about half as much as the softtouch option...
