My opinion is biased because I am in the middle of two of these situations right now at my car wash/detail shop. But I would stand my ground. Let them threaten lawyer all they want; people love to do that but they rarely actually have a lawyer and once they find out it's a $3000 retainer they...
customer states detailing work ruined both heated seats and steering wheel in a jeep. internet is full of stories about jeeps with heated seat / steering wheel issues. chrysler issued a tsb on this issue. this is a mfg issue and not a problem from detailing. i'm curious to see 'proof' ...
I don't really see soda sales as much of a profit center. It's really just a customer convenience. On a warm day it's nice to have the option of buying a cold drink after you wash and dry and vacuum the car. I set mine up to be profitable, but I'm not sending my kids to college with soda revenue...
I don't think anybody really cares about warm air for dryers. Just my opinion though. I've got some homemade air dryers that my buddy made and sold me when he bought new ones. They're still working great. Not much to go bad on these things. Motors, nozzles, and hoses. Pretty simple. Pretty...
Gross revenue sounds really low. typical gross income multiplier for a car wash business is 3 to 5 times gross. Your price is almost 8 times gross revenue. That's too high. Why is the revenue so low? A good touch free can gross that much in a few months of brisk business. You might want to dig...
you can make it yourself. Sprinkle a little bit of pollen, adding a dash of street sweeper, then a pinch of dusty dry desert wind and some light acid rain. Stir well. Dispense liberally.
What about if you took a chisel to the nut from the top? You could slide a piece of poly tubing over the stud so you didn't damage it with the chisel. A few good taps and I bet you could pry the nut apart with a screwdriver and get it right off.
I don't think you should go too crazy right off the bat trying to do several things that are expensive to increase your awareness of the car wash. The best thing to do is to try to build it up slowly by being on site, giving away free car washes, visiting local police and fire and giving away...
i think it's a terrible idea for any car wash and especially bad for the self serve model. vacs make a significant amount of money and it's perhaps the highest profit margin of any equipment on your lot. I think it's a big mistake to give it away for free. Besides, how would you ever know if...
thank you for the reply. Yes I definitely used the body of the gauge to tighten it. Should I be using a dry gauge instead? Would that make a difference? I was also planning on installing a ball valve in between the gauge and the high-pressure system. That way I can leave it off most of the time...
