    Turn radius

Anyone have an idea of what type of turn radiuses would be required for a SS car wash? Seems like longer vehicles with trailers will need a lot of room. I am trying to repave my parking lot to take advantage of some incentives the city is giving to the area around my car wash but the the...

    SuperWash Remodel

To @OurTown 's point about the floor heat, I repaved the bay that I extended and put new floor heat in with the remodel but in the process that broke the floor heat to the other auto bay next to it which at the time I didn't want to fork out the money to also repave.. Just use that bay to dry...

    SuperWash Remodel

I raised the roof and made a bay longer but never widened one. I got lucky, my superwash had 13'4" wide bays, so it could fit a razor.

    Hydro spray center pod

If you are interested in this one lmk. I think it looks the same as the one you referenced, it's just been collecting dust with my spare parts since I ripped out my oval tracks. Fwiw It's new but has been on the spare part shelf for a very long time, name your price.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Mine are ice free. and I have the crappy 8" of concrete with floor heat on the bottom of that, its -11 outside. Return temp says 68 and I have the takagi's set to 100 degrees (i also use the cable between them). I guess I'm curious if maybe too much flow is going through your trough loop? I...

Best Technology Upgrades for Self-Serve Car Washes

I'm curious if anyone has tried out these heated booms, just recently noticed such a product exists - https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-72862-mosmatic-65-119-dkzel-z-series-heated-ceiling-boom-with-led-lighting-5-1-1500-psi.aspx I'm too lazy to implement a blowdown system to get rid of weep, but...

Wash Packages/Wash Bundles for the Holidays

I had a hard time justifying raising prices when I had the old superwash oval tracks (do you? seems like you might). I personally don't think your prices are that low but I guess it really depends on cost of living where you are. Seems like most of my customers don't have jobs, lol. If you...

Subject: Urgent! CryptoPay Tap Exploit - Free Washes & Missing Transactions

If your preauth is $5 and you have $6 in your account, then spend $20 on count up, does it just let you use $20 worth of time and then decline the charge?

    Early Summer Paint Job

Mines the same, even the same street sign style. But I was built in 1988. Even my autos had the roof trough before I remodeled, strange how they change things up.

    City shut down my Wash!

Hopefully nothing broke, running pumps dry sounds like an awful thing to do. And yes, city has shut my water off a number of times but always gave me a heads up, sometimes super short notice but always enough time for me to block the bays off and stuff. I just sucked it up and took the loss.

    Trash Can Recommendations

I've been trying to find a garbage can similar to what @Graffiti Wash is looking for, but haven't really seen anything in the 55 gallon range that is secure. Mostly I just want to stop having to use garbage bags, and to prevent the homeless from dumping all the trash out on the ground, which...

    Anyone using Montavue Surveillance?

I DIY'd it with blue iris.. built my own computer, bought a switch, bought IP cameras, a few 12 packs to convince some friends to help me run conduit and crimp cat 6. Spent some time reading on ipcamtalk.com to help get blue iris dialed in and to find cameras that were good at specific things...

    Questions about slab heat

Besides cleaning it like Waxman said, the only other thing I can remember about my old super wash boiler system is that there is a site glass on the reservoir tank and your fluids need to be in between the lines on it.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

I'll try and take some photos when I'm over there tomorrow, it's definitely not pretty, but I used the taco pumps that 2Biz used.. 2 in series going up toward the takagis and another right before the manifolds to the bays. I have another small one on the pipe that goes up toward the roof...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

FWIW I used two Takagi 199k's for my now 5 bay Super Wash.. I also have a loop running through the trough on the roof. I cheaped out and orphaned my 6th bay from floor heat, just using it to dry pit mud now days, but I plan to fix it eventually. Had I known upgrading the automatic and making...

    Business Model

I saw this post on facebook the other day, probably not a small town but it's a good example of what tunnels are doing now days, I wouldn't ever want to keep dividing the pie between more car washes but they seem to think building new locations in slightly better locations is the way to go.
