A month later, Coleman still out and a google search landed me here. I'm also on the hunt for a 2.0 drive motor gearbox. Anyone have any leads on a source or even just information on it beyond 55225-3 and GearBox LF-918, 30:1 Washdown
Thanks for any leads!
in the automatic bay. This particular one was from rubbing, and wasn't caught. All the hoses are about a year old and were replaced. But it was more a general question, as I was curious what other people do. The hydraulic hoses need a hose guy to make one, and in our town, he's open 5...
My car wash is located in rural area, and I'm curious if anyone has found a solution for a problem I sometimes encounter. Random high pressure hoses go at the most unpractical times and the store that makes high pressure hose replacements aren't open 24/7. Is there any tape, trick, or...
Maybe I'm missing something but why does it matter?
If you use gross, make sure you put in expenses.
If you use net, don't worry about the daily expenses.
Either way you get to the same number, and the same tax bill.
Seems like all good answers, but a couple of other comments.
1. I use a Cassida 200 coin counter. It's $199, and it's fairly slow, but it's a lot cheaper than those other ones mentioned above. I'm not saying better, just a lower cost option. The difference will be speed.
2. I'd suggest...
If I recall correctly, it's located in F4 on the red lion since it's more of a timer. Not sure which one there, so you'll have to check the manual or just hunt for it in F4. There's two numbers -- one is for total time you want to keep it on when either the eye breaks or the pad gets run...
You can't adjust it on different washes, as the timers for that aren't in the recipes. And yes, I have the same problem, although I figure it's on them since there's a million signs that say "enter slowly" including the scrolling message! lol
Last couple pieces of clarity to close out.
1. Notifications are just like notifications with any other smart phone app. The adjustability and obnoxiousness of notifications are a function of whatever control you have in your iphone or Android phone settings as the operating system controls...
Yes. Install Smartthings on a phone (Android/Apple). Install sensors using the app. And then program the app to send you notifications when sensors do things in combination. Think IF.... THEN statements.
For example, I know what temperature it is outside because I have a sensor. I...
Firstly, I have a v3 hub, and never had a v2 hub. So I have no legacy scars. V2 and V3 aren't just software differences, they're significant. However, I **feel** from having read the SmartThings story (a Kickstarter startup later bought by Samsung) I think Samsung is putting their...
Thanks JGinther.
Funny, I imagine he does drive by and wish that he had more capital to have machines do the work. I imagine the owner there makes far less money than me except he is actually washing cars (i.e. working as an employee there, too). As for my motivation to get into the car...
I'm in a rural town with a 3 SS bay/1 touchless IBA. I bought a barely functioning wash a year ago, and have built it up. We've been open a year, and the results have been quite good. Now looking at finer details. My nearest competitor offers a brush-based hand wash with an old IBA doing...
I agree about the hand dry pullover problem isn't the issue.
I can understand what Earl did as he was already on a location and up and running. But there's a business decision here. What's the revenue and cost difference reusing the building and lot here vs. starting from scratch with a new...
No competition is interesting (and awesome), but I'd still stand behind my advice. Your competition isn't just the guy down the street, but includes alternatives. One alternative is to continue to do what people in that area may be doing -- which isn't getting a car wash at all OR washing at...
For what it's worth, here's my take:
1. My philosophy on signs. Make it a quick 3 second decision, make it easy on people to decide. Lead them to what you want the consumer to concentrate on. Don't make them work. That generally means something visually that would draw me to the Best...
CityView, am in West Virginia similar to you.
Last year I bought a Mr. Heater 50,000 BTU for less than $500 on Amazon. It's natural gas, and on a thermostat. I set the thermostat to 45 and the doors close at the same temp. Set it and forget it, basically. Hassle free when those 25...
One solution for peace of mind about the heat tape. I use SmartThings sensors. I put a smart plug on the outlet that the heat tape plugs into. You'll notice that it cycles on and off even in freezing temperatures. Anyway, you can set up a notification when that outlet draws a higher than...
IMHO that's where the power of Facebook comes from. If you can get a comment on a post (not just a like) it will show up on all of that person's friends wall.
Facebook algorithms are best with comments. So anything you can do even simply asking a question will drive the comments up...
Congrats on the new friction machine.
My first comment is to keep it as simple as possible. I think the BOGO stuff is too hard. Here's what I seen, and what I plan to do with my new conveyor in the future.
1. For a week offer it as free. You might be tempted to do this for a day, but...
