I had the same problem. Swapped out the slug buster worked ok for a little while then went back to doing the same thing. Then I cut the plug in connector off of the slug buster and wire nutted together problem has not returned in over 3 months now.

I did the same thing a few years ago. I just had my masonry contractor lay up a 4" block wall along the split face wall. As i think about it it was actually in 1993 and has worked out very well.
