I am currently using a 2507 nozzles in my self service bays and I was thinking about changing them to 2505, but I was wondering what if any difference will my customers will see. I know I will see a lot of difference when I wash the bays down but I don't want my customers to see a differences in pressure. Thanks for the help.

That big of a drop will be very noticeable to your customers, unless you increase the pressure to compensate for the lower flow. the 07 and 05 numbers indicate the GPM at 4,000 PSI, which is halved at 1,000. You're talking about taking away a full gallon per minute of flow if you don't change the pressure at the pump.

If you make this change, re-sheave your pumps and save wear and tear on the pump and control valves. Customers will obviously notice, since you do. It does save water and energy, though. Do not increase the pressure becasue you will increase the damage claims because the effective cleaning distance will decrease - the distance in which the pressure & flow have optimized impact for cleaning, not damage - so customers will get too close to the surface and harm their cars.

The proposed Georgia water policy calls for #6 nozzles at 1,000 psi at nozzle. Don't know the status of that bill but that is 3GPM

We use a 1505 nozzle at 1200 ? 1500 psi. We've used the 1505 nozzle for years. The narrower 15 degree pattern gives the customer the impression that they are getting more pressure than they really are getting.
