Ted & for others too,

Thanks for the new thread-post with the link.

I happen to also be on a forum more dedicated to laundromat owners. One owner in particular --- Mr. Machine-Paul has his facility right in the immediate downtown vicinity of the 911 New York City area. I thought the posts & links by some of those business owners close to it were also worthwhile looking at.

On our 60 inch Internet TV in our laundromat (connected to our car n dog wash) we had the "live coverage of the reflections" on most of the day so far.

I wanted our country's Day of Solemn Remembrance (and some Righteous Anger) to pass before making this "political" observation and comment. And that is:

Yesterday the ONLY folks in my neighborhood who flew the Flag were those who I know are Conservative and/or have had lawn signs up during elections in support of Conservative candidates.

NONE of my neighbors who have had pro-Obama or pro-Lib election yard signs flew the Flag. Nor, for that matter, do they EVER hoist "the Colors" during ANY patriotic holiday or event!

I'm sure that this sad (and rather telling) "politico-socio phenomenon" is not exclusive to just my "hood" ... and, most likely, that any "exceptions prove the rule".

Of course, proudly and respectfully flying our Flag is not THE credential for and measure of one's patriotism and love of country. But, surely, such a "trend" says something!
