Hello fellow car wash cleaners ;) i recently have been put in the position of maintaining a automatic bay and 2 JE Adams 9200 combos, vac/fragrance and a vac/digi air. I want to give the detail guy for the top wash a manual switch to turn the vac/frag on so ha can vac out cars is there a standard way to do this.I guess i could just jump power to the vac motors but wasn't sure if there was a better way...;)

The easiest ways would be:

1) Put a momentary key switch on the coin switch wires and let him pulse the timer

2) Replace the coin acceptor with one that can take tokens and give him a supply.

The second option would be more useful in you keep count of income - the switch method will cause your money to appear short.

I'm not familiar enough with the Adams combo units to tell you whether you can just switch the functions on and off with a key switch without affecting valuation, but someone from Adams would probably answer that question for you.

The best way would be to drill a hole through the door. Use a 1/8" cobalt bit to start a pilot hole and use the Harbor Freight step drills to make it the size you want.

The key to drilling stainless is to use a lot of pressure and a slow speed. You don't need oil, and never use a punch to mark a divot.
