I am trying a few different clear coats on my WW 1.0. Because the clear coat is applied on a high pressure wash, I am finding it hard to adjust. I want to get a good "sheeting" effect. When the wash was new and when I brought in a new chemical company they were able to accomplish this (after about a full day of working on it). I have two bays and am trying different chemicals in both to to see what works best. If you have any suggestions (including chemical companies) please include what tip you are using in the hydrominder and also how you adjust the flow meter (which I find absolutely impossible). Also, can you apply the clear coat in a low pressure pass, possibly even in the triple foam? Lastly, anybody have any experience with Rain X? I am trying it right now but have not been overly impressed. It could be because I cannot get the right amount of product on. Thanks for your help in advance!

Seems to me I have had better results with medium pressure wax instead of high pressure. You would flow about 30-40% less water at medium pressure, so assuming that you can pull the same amount of CCP out of the tank the solution will be stronger. Regardless of product, I typically have to use hydrominder tips between red-tan area because of the high dilution of CCP by the wizard.

I have tried rain-x in a 1.0 before, but encounter a problem of not being able to get the product on the car in the right concentration using high or medium pressure rinse. It works wonderfully well in a low pressure application.

Coleman's high pressure wax application system is not the best way to apply product. The venturi effect required to pull wax out in reasonable quantities starts when all nozzles are flowing. By the time I can see clear coat being applied to the vehicles surface the gantry has already traveled 1/3- 1/2 down the car.

I've been meaning to convert my hp wax to low pressure. That way you could use the drying aid/CCP products the way they were supposed to be used. Less product waste, less water, less energy, and drier cars. My biggest concern is adequate tri-foam rinsing. I have considered trying to apply drying aid/ ccp on the same pass as spot free, just planned to shoot it forward of the gantry so it would hit the car's surface before spot free does. Haven't thought all this out just yet, though
