Advice on POS & Gas Station across the road

There's a gas station directly across the street, relatively close to my American Changer PayStation & LW4000. How could I hook up with them, to offer Carwashes through their gas station? Would it even be cost effective, for me to try & partner with them? I only wash 10 cpd through my LW! Might make me jump to 13--->15....

I don't think you can do that with the American unit. Unitec WS2 and newer units can do that without any direct wired connection. Of course that will set you back about 10K , even with a used one. At those wash numbers it might be hard to justify.

No, I mean 10 cpd. We don't all have the luxury of having an awesome wash, unlimited funds, etc. Coaching, & Moved outta Dallas, to take care of in-laws. Goin broke & bought this wash. Not getting rich, but making xtra money every week....which is the best I can do for my family.

Now, does anyone have anymore advice? Is this even feasible, or a wash of time. Sounds crazy, but I'm thinking I can nearly double my sales. Double of 10, is only 20. Ha

Ask questions in the right order.

First, does the gas station want to partner with you?

If site is branded, owner or fuel supplier may not want to be associated with wash across the street.

Second, at 10 CPD, you are barely alive. So, how will gas station benefit from relationship?

$1.00 per car commission X 10 CPD = $10 per day

Gas station probably makes more money from soda machine.

Since pay-at-pumps is not viable, consider alternative like token notes, discounted voucher, etc. that you can redeem somehow.

Will your Auto cashier accept coin tokens or token notes? Is it able to promote a time of day discount? I was in your situation with a wash years back. I went to several local businesses and asked them to sell tokens for me. Spruced up everything I could and offered senior citizen discounts, discounts from 12 to 1pm and 5 to 6pm, whenever I could be there or have someone there to attend the wash. Volume went from 15 to 25 cpd in 2 months time. The other bonus that happened is the self service volume picked up. The wash became active again. The old tried and true-- neat, clean, good hot chemicals, and someone around, at least at peak times, will do wonders.
This might be a place to start until you can find a used cashier that has the capabilities to do some of the things you want.
Good luck.
