Am I the only one who sees this preoccupation with germs as utter stupidity? Practically every place you go there is some disinfectant advertising that it kills 99.99% of all germs. It really shouldn't surprise me anymore considering the education most people get. (I mean how else do you explain the current occupant of the White House getting elected twice?) The word germ is our feeble way of saying one bacteria strain is bad, while the others are good. Look people, without "germs", aka bacteria - you die pretty quickly. Our bodies host tens of millions of the critters. They keep our skin healthy, and without them in our gut, we would not be able to digest food. So when you put that crap in the stores on your body, you are killing many of the little guys that we need. The ones not killed are sometimes the bad guys, and you have just opened up a vast breeding ground for them by killing all of their competition. It is exactly why there is this emergence of "super bugs" in hospitals. I know this won't change many people's behavior, but I'll pass on the free soap and let my body's immune system take care of things.
