Air compressor motor

It's not a standard motor. It's made special (spl) for the compressor manufacturer. You can get a close number based on the Amps it uses.

Amps times Volts times .00134 = hp

When you see those it usually means it's a cheap motor/compressor. Many manufacturers are claiming a high horsepower motor to look good, when all they are doing is playing with a spec. I've seen some claim a 5 h.p. motor when it's the size of a regular one horsepower motor.

Ghetto Wash formula is spot on.

What brand Air Compressor is it? Is the motor 120 or 220 volt? What is the Amp rating of both 120 and 220? We’ve never had much luck with any motors from Grainger. The last Air Compressor motor we needed we got here http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/air_compressor_motors.htm If you’ve got a motor repair shop nearby they might be able to help you.
