Air Gage PSI Runaway

My air gage on my D&S 5000 tri foam pegs out at 100 psi+ when the compressor is running, but goes back down to the set 60 psi when the Flojet comes on. Any ideas? I can't find any checkvalves in that line. Is my regulator bad?

Is it possible the regulator is on backwards? Should have directional arrow.

The regulator is probably just seeping by - as long as it's not keeping the solenoids from opening or leaking air all the time, it shouldn't matter.
