Air Shamee Contactor

I’ve already replaced one of these contactors bc it was faulty upon arrival. It also was a square D. My voltage coming in is good. The contactor won’t trip when power is called for. When I try to manual activate by pushing in the little square it feels like it’s got resistance on it. It will only go partially back and still won’t kick on. I had the same problem with the last one. Am I missing something here other than just another bad contactor?

When power is called for in the bay the contactor is humming.

My experience has been when the contractor hums is not enough current. Check the common side of the coil as well as the signal wire / hot .

I just checked the signal and I’m getting 22volts. The others are showing 24. Is this my problem? Any idea why I’d be getting 22 and not 24?

Check voltage at transformer. If it is 24+ then you have bad connection on a wire somewhere.. if it is 22 volts check your transformer how it is wired.
