Air Valves

Have had problems with low pressure air regulators.. Either weeping at the body.. Plastic body.. or leaking at the stem threads.. Bad thing is with the leaks my compressor runs constantly.

Anyone have any solid recommendations on Air valves? I need a decent valve that will last..

Can I get away with a threaded needle valve?

You can use a needle valve if it's feeding a single source that always has the same requirement for flow, but you couldn't use it for multiple bays.

I've always used the Speedaire regulator, specifically the 4ZM08, that always lasts many years as long as it's fed with clean, dry air.

I bought some from Kleen-Rite that looked the same and had a plastic body, two were defective out of the box and the third only lasted a couple months.

I use parker regulators, i had trouble one time tracked it down to a high pressure check valve in the attic feeding back to the reg and blowing it out, now to help protect the reg i put a check valve between the reg and sol block
