Airlift XRS and ice build up question

Greetings!

I am considering the purchase of a pair of Airlift XRS doors. This winters ice was brutal in my IBA.

My question. Since there is no R value to the doors, how much ice reduction can I expect. On busy days Id spend a few hours removing ice from the walls. 1/2" to an 1".

Looking forward to you responses.

Well, as a comparison we have an xrs door on both the entrance and exit of our washworld (similar to your LW4000) and with the two doors, the floor heat, and weeping hot water, it keeps the temperature above 40 degrees inside of the bay at all times, even with negative temps outside. I actually was able to not need tri foam methanol with this set up as well. Another operator I know in the area has no doors on his auto, and he experiences the terrible ice buildup too, and he's finally throwing in the towel and putting doors in as well.

I highly recommend the xrs doors, and woltco did a great job installing ours.
