Airlift XRS issue

Airlift XRS issue
Open function works fine. In order to close the door the photo sensors must be BLOCKED while pushing the close button. Once the door closes the photo sensors work as they should and the door will open if sensors blocked, but were confused why the photo sensors must be blocked in order to close initially.
We spoke to Airlift and they were as helpful but no resolve to the issue. We initially had relays as part of the system but with Airlift’s help we wired the photo sensor directly to the terminal and no longer have the relays in play but the issue remains.
I’m attaching a photo of the wires entering our box.
We’ve tried different combinations and we thought we had it but the door would close a foot or two and the go back.
We’ve tried removing the photo sensor connections from the system and the door still will not close, which we thought was weird.
Any advice or things to try next would be appreciated

I would isolate the door, removing safety sensors, then disconnect the com open and close signal coming from the carwash.

Some photo eyes have a normally close and a normally open signal wire. You might have the wrong signal wire for your photo eyes landed at the open terminal block. If so this would reverse the logic of the photo eyes. What photo eye is being used? If you remove the photo eyes from the system you still need to provide a jumper (fake signal) so the control logic still works.
