It's funny to watch people write articles about an issue they know nothing about. Nobody in this country, including the president can try to take on big oil right now, and that is what's blocking the pipeline- not Sarah Palin- she doesn't have that much power. If Sarah Palin was the only one in the way as the article falsely states, Obama would have a pipeline by now. Yes it's true, she should not have trumped up her political power by saying the pipeline is underway- but seriously, have you ever known a politician who doesn't tell half-truths to look better. Nothing new here.

I would respond better to the article if the author didn't spend so much time with innuendos and other techniques that don't really speak to the issue of the article but instead work really hard to slam his intended target.

The piece is supposedly written as an analysis, but the author is so caught up in criticizing Palin that I had a hard time getting enough facts out of the article to make an informed decision about it-- one way or another.

What did jump out at me was the feeling by Alaskans and Alaska pols that they had been suckered by Big Oil for many years. I believe that's true, and of course you would want to respond to that by changing the ways you do business. Whether her altered approach is good, or bad, was impossible for me to determine as I don't think the piece did a very good analysis of that.

Despite my criticisms I did think it was an interesting piece to read.
