Why must the internet provider give me the hard sell on a bundle w/tv and phone, too???

Imagine if I did that to every customer who came in to the detail shop?

How about just providing me with excellent customer service and selling me what I want. I understand making me aware of a deal, but I'm not dumb and don't need to be asked multiple times; "YES I only want to buy one of your services!"

I feel the same way when virtually everyone that sells you something offers the "Service plan, Extended warranty, or whatever". When you refuse they look at you like you are making the stupidest decision of all time. I know they are just looking out for me and I'm just too stupid to see it...yeah right. Those plans are "for profit" items and are pretty much all bad investments for the customer. I've never bought one and tell the salesperson that they are not good enough to sell me the first one ever. That usually works and the subject is dropped. I also get the added satisfaction that they have a lot of trouble sleeping at night now since they are worried about me :D

Yeah, the extended warranty for something with a year warranty to begin with, that kicks in a year down the road???

That extended warranty you buy at the store doesn't kick in a year down the road, it just buys you the convenience of returning the item directly to the store instead of shipping it to the manufacturer for warranty repair.
