Are new G5's Locked ?

Today Someone told me all new G5's/M5's are locked out to prevent access to everything except mechanical? Is this rumor true? I can't believe it but just wondering if anyone that has a new machine could verify?

If you are referring to the programming, the answer is no. It all depends on how your user level is set up within the M5, as to what access you have. In the G5's, we don't even have different user levels.

You can determine that by going to the User Setup page and changing the level of security.

interesting, the competitor (distributor) told me that and said he heard it from more than one source but I was reluctant to believe, simply because of his position! Thanks for the truth.
