Back up air compressor

I use a Home Depot 33 gal. portable. It stays plumbed into my system set to kick in when the main compressor fails.

I set up a Campbell-Hausfeld 3-piston compressor next to an Ingersoll-Rand that was the main compressor and was having problems. The C/H is continuous duty rated and by itself can easily run the wash with a Vector that uses a lot of air. The two tanks are just tee'd together which should save a little motor wear and tear since it runs longer to fill and kicks on/off less often. I made sure to use a unit rated for continuous duty so it could operate long-term without worrying about it.

We have a portable 30 gallon air compressor that we have in standby. We’ve never had to use it but it’s there in the main shop if we do.
