I keep spare motors on the shelf. I also keep a detailed maintenance log. I changed a wheelscrub motor in late January and it stopped working again in February. The VFD was tripping so I disconnected the motors one at a time to see which was causing the problem. It was the "new" Baldor motor. I have a good relationship with my distributor so I called him and he had me send the motor back to them. They sent it to either JC or Baldor (not sure which) and I got a credit for the full cost of the motor. My distributor knows that I keep parts on the shelf and also knows that I am not one to try to get something for nothing. So, yes, I did get a response and a credit. I attribute this to my distributor. How old is you oscillating motor. Usually my problem with the osc motors is in the gearbox that's on the end of it.
