Is there a consensus on the best bay booms out there? Mosmatic has a nice z boom - No Orings and Self lubricating. From an ease of maintenance standpoint just wanted to see who may have input in regard to this. Looking to upgrade all my SS bays.

Mosmatic booms do have a swivel with o-rings.

We've been real happy wit the Zierdan booms that we've been using. I don't think your ever going to find a boom that doesn't need a little maintenance from time to time. They all use a "O" ring and some sort of bearing.

There's no maintenance-free boom with ball bearings. The bearings eventually lose a seal and start to rust internally, then fall apart.

I'm pretty sure that "Kleen-Rite" boom is a Mosmatic, at least it looks like one in the picture.

I installed the double mosmatic z booms < foam brush and high pressure, in 2008 and they are very nice, I have never replaced a seal in them, where as with the single zierden booms that were there for years, I can’t count the times I replaced the cartridge on them before they came out with the conversion kit < the ones that were easier to change with the double O-rings which were allot better < and take more maintenance then the mosmatics ever would, I think the mosmatics are far better than Zierden, cost allot more but well worth the investment.

Thanks for the heads up on even the updated Zierdon's additional maintenance considering you have used both.

We have the mosmatic - hydrospray z booms & when there are two people using more than one boom at the same time ... playing or whatever ... then & only then ... the hoses still can get tangled.
