I am building new faceplates and adding cryptopay and bill acceptors to my bays. I have seen wiring diagrams before on these but can't remember where. My only concern is the bill acceptors I have never used these in bays anybody have any advice I'm assuming it's a simple wiring add. If I purchase a Mars acceptor is it basically plug and play type application. Any input would be appreciated.

Mars are not "plug and play," you either need a certain model to wire it to a timer or a certain plug to make it send pulses instead of plugging into a MDB port. The 2400 series come with MDB but can be used as coin pulse output with the $5 enable plug. The 2600 work as-is. It obviously has to be a 24V AC model either way.

Use a Dixmor LED-7 or a LED-6 timer. They both have separate inputs for the Bill validator and the credit card. The Dixmor timers are made by the same company that makes the Cryptopay system, when you swipe a card when using the LED-6 or 7 it will say “Checking Credit” Use a Mars AE2412U2 validator, you don’t need to use the “Enable Jumper Cable” with the AE2412U2 validator, it’ll be a plug and play. If you use a VN2512U2 validator you’ll have to use the “Enable Jumper Cable”. If you want to accept $10’s and $20’s use an AE2612U2, it uses the same protocols as the AE2412U2. If you have any more questions just ask.
